Creating a better and easier to use medical equipment device, which is glucose meter and insulin pump, for my client Bill Brewer, a Lecturer on the faculty of RITʼs College of Health Sciences and Technology.
My concept is a redesign of glucometer and insulin pump technology currently approved by the FDA; only their configurations are altered. I considered the users’ lifestyles, how and where the products are used, and competitive offerings in the market. Carrying an insulin pump, a separate glucometer, and the consumables used in monitoring blood glucose are cumbersome.
